On October 1, employees of the Jiuhu Power Supply Institute of the State Grid Shennongjia Power Supply Company were carrying out charging facility patrols and inspections for electric vehicle charging stations in the Dajiuhu Scenic Area, which is a scenario for the State Grid Hubei Electric Power Co., Ltd. to strengthen the operation and maintenance of charging facilities and help people travel green.

On the day of "Eleventh", the charging capacity of State Grid Hubei Electric Power operating charging piles reached 792,900 kWh, a year-on-year increase of 52.48%. Improving the electrification of terminal energy consumption is the key to achieving the "dual carbon" goal and building a new power system, under the continuous and vigorous promotion of the state and the active efforts of various market players, the production and sales scale of new energy vehicles in China continues to grow rapidly, and the demand for charging piles is also increasing. At present, State Grid Hubei Electric Power has built 5,119 charging piles, forming an intercity interconnected fast charging network of "three verticals, three horizontals and one circle" covering the whole province.

In order to ensure the efficient and reliable charging service during the "Eleventh" period, State Grid Hubei Electric Power deployed in advance and made overall arrangements, and the company's units carried out all-round operation and maintenance of the charging facilities in the jurisdiction in the form of special patrol and special wei to ensure the safe and normal operation of charging piles during the "Eleventh" period and help people travel green.

In recent years, State Grid Shennongjia Power Supply Company has successively built 15 DC charging stations and 70 DC charging piles in Muyu, Jiuhu and other places. Chen Wenqiang, director of Jiuhu Power Supply Institute, introduced that there are many tourists who choose to use electric vehicles during peak tourism hours, and in order to do a good job in electricity services, the institute has formulated a 7*24-hour duty system and opened the holiday duty mode.

"This holiday I chose to travel off-peak and come back before the 'November' rush hour." On September 27, at the electric vehicle charging station in Hongshanzui Town, Laohekou City, Hubei Province, Zhao Zhendong, who had just returned to his hometown from Beijing, drove an electric car and parked in the charging space to charge. Zhao Zhendong introduced that with the help of the "online state grid" and "e-charging" APP intelligent pile finding function, you can query the charging pile along the way at any time and charge. State Grid Laohekou City Power Supply Company actively carried out the construction of "15-minute charging circle", and has completed the construction of 12 urban and rural charging stations and 56 charging piles, and electric vehicle owners can find charging piles in urban areas, between urban and rural areas, and between towns and towns within a 15-minute drive.

335,000 kWh! The single-day charging volume of Zhejiang Expressway Service Area reached a record high

On October 1, the charging capacity of charging stations in expressway service areas in Zhejiang Province exceeded 335,000 kWh in a single day, a record high, an increase of 180% compared with October 1, 2021. The single-day charging capacity of the charging station in the high-speed service area of State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. ranks first among the provincial power companies of the State Grid Vehicle Networking platform.

"Last time I came to Xiaoshan service area, there were only 4 charging piles, and there were many people who had to queue up, and the travel time increased a lot, and this time I found that there were 8 new piles, basically no need to queue, charging is particularly fast!" Mr. Zhang said after experiencing the new charging service in the Xiaoshan Service Area (Quzhou direction) of the Hangjinqu Expressway.

In order to cope with the explosive growth of the number of electric vehicle customers, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power took the initiative to use market mechanisms to accelerate the transformation, expansion and new construction of charging facilities in expressway service areas in various forms, and carried out the special action of "fighting for 100 seats and winning in September". At present, the company has built 1202 charging piles on expressways in Zhejiang Province, effectively alleviating the "range anxiety" of electric vehicles for long-distance travel.

In addition to hardware improvement, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power predicted popular queuing stations in advance and arranged special personnel to be on duty during the festival, and launched self-developed energy storage emergency charging vehicles to provide customers with emergency power replenishment services. The operation flow chart compiled by the company is also listed as the State Grid Corporation's holiday highway travel guide.

State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power will accelerate the formation of a charging facility network along the highway with "fixed charging facilities as the main body and mobile charging facilities as supplements" in accordance with the principle of "pile station first, supply and demand, local conditions, classified promotion, wide coverage, moderate advance, universal openness, intelligent and efficient", and effectively guarantee the growing demand for electric vehicle charging.
