According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's production and sales of new energy vehicles in the first half of the year completed 2.661 million and 2.6 million units, respectively, an increase of 1.2 times year-on-year, of which new energy passenger vehicle sales accounted for 24.0% of the total passenger car sales, and new energy vehicles accounted for 39.8% of self-owned brand passenger cars. From the current development trend, the overall production and sales of new energy vehicles exceeded expectations, and showed a consumption growth rate that exceeded that of fuel vehicles.

Zhang Jianhua, director of the National Energy Administration, said that the National Energy Administration will strengthen the clean substitution of terminal energy and will meet the charging needs of more than 20 million electric vehicles in 2025.

Zhang Jianhua said that from now until 2030, it is expected that the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption will continue to grow at an average annual rate of 1 percentage point, and he has the ability and confidence to achieve the goal of peaking carbon emissions before 2030.
