On the morning of the 19th, the National Development and Reform Commission held a regular press conference in September, at which Meng Wei, deputy director of the Political Research Office of the National Development and Reform Commission and spokesperson of the Commission, said that since the beginning of this year, with the support of policies such as stable growth and consumption promotion, China's automobile industry has overcome the impact of the epidemic and other factors, showing a good trend of recovery of growth, and has played a positive role in stabilizing the economic market. China's new energy vehicle industry has formed a good foundation, and the development of new energy vehicles has entered a period of comprehensive market-oriented expansion.
Meng Wei pointed out that new energy vehicles maintained rapid growth, from January to August this year, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 3.97 million and 3.86 million units, respectively, an increase of 1.2 times and 1.1 times year-on-year; exports were 340,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 97.4%; New energy vehicle sales accounted for 22.9% of total vehicle sales; The number of new energy vehicles exceeds 10 million. "From a longer cycle, in recent years, China's new energy vehicle production and sales have grown rapidly, the key technical level has been greatly improved, and the charging infrastructure and other supporting service systems have been continuously improved, it can be said that China's new energy vehicle industry has formed a good foundation, and the development of new energy vehicles has entered a period of comprehensive market-oriented expansion." Meng Wei said.
Why is China's new energy vehicle market so prosperous? Meng Wei said that it is mainly due to three aspects:
First, there is a clear development direction and planning policy system. China regards new energy vehicles as the main direction of the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry, introduces the development plan of new energy vehicles, and forms a complete support policy system for science and technology, industry, finance and taxation, which provides a solid guarantee for the development and growth of the new energy vehicle industry.
Second, there is a relatively complete industrial support system. China has the supporting capabilities of the whole industry such as new energy vehicles and key parts, production equipment, and basic materials, and has formed certain advantages in industrial scale, collaboration efficiency, supporting costs, etc., providing effective support for enterprises to carry out technology research and development and product development.
Third, it has the advantage of ultra-large-scale market. China is the world's largest automobile market and the largest new energy vehicle market. At present, China's automobile market is showing a trend of consumption upgrading, young consumer groups have a high degree of acceptance of new technologies and new products, and the new energy vehicle market still has great growth potential.
At the same time, Meng Wei stressed that in the next step, the National Development and Reform Commission will earnestly implement the development plan of the new energy vehicle industry and continue to promote the high-quality development of the new energy vehicle industry. The first is to further study and improve the policy system of new energy vehicles in conjunction with relevant departments and create a policy environment conducive to the development of new energy vehicles. The second is to adhere to the "national chess game" to optimize the layout of the new energy vehicle industry, and build an industrial pattern with reasonable layout, orderly development and efficient operation in accordance with the principle of regional agglomeration and main body concentration. The third is to encourage enterprises to fully rely on China's industrial foundation, strengthen technological innovation, accelerate breakthroughs in key system components and basic common technologies of new energy vehicles, and continue to enhance the core competitiveness of the entire industry chain. The fourth is to continue to deepen international cooperation with an open attitude, encourage Chinese and foreign enterprises to deepen cooperation methods, expand cooperation fields, and achieve a higher level of open cooperation and mutual benefit and win-win results.
